Is the Buzz annoying you?
Instead of wasting time by repeating myself about Google’s new experimental fiber network, I’m just going to direct you to my article on the matter onNBC Connecticut’s site.
Also, I simply must share what is probably the most expensive and high-tech bug zapper out there:
As for Google Buzz, lots of people are having issues with privacy concerns about the new feature. If you’re one of them, there are two ways to turn off Buzz:
1. Down at the bottom of either the Buzz screen or your gmail screen, there is a small link that says ‘turn off Buzz’, click that and Buzz disappears, though I’m not entirely sure if it actually opts you out of Buzz entirely or if it just makes the nav bars disappear.
2. Google has added a Buzz section to the main settings page of Gmail (not the main settings page of Google, fyi). This page gives you two options, to essentially hide Buzz (“Do not show Google Buzz in Gmail”) or to opt out of the program entirely (“Disable Google Buzz”) which deletes your Buzz profile, disconnects your sites and disables the program entirely.
So now you know, and knowing is half the battle. G.I. Joe!
