Some Updates on the Universe
More from the Symphony of Science:
It’s just as amazing as “A Glorious Dawn”, which I showed earlier. Though this one, “We’re all connected”, also features the auto-tuned tones of Richard Feynman, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye in addition to Carl Sagan. All of whom are amazing people. Speaking of amazing people, the man who brought you this bit of awesome is John Boswell, who started the Symphony of Science as a musical project “designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form.” His songs are free to download here, and you yourself can be awesome and help his project out by kicking a bit o’ cash his way via the innocuous little donation blurb on the same page.
[UPDATE ON AN UPDATE]: After talking to Boswell, he said that there are more to come. I’ll post them when I see them. I can’t wait.
And in other news, ABC is planning on vandalizing the sky as a promotion for its new series, V. Personally, I love the idea of skywriting the letter above 26 different landmarks, multiple times a day, every day from this Friday till the series premiere at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3rd. Why? Because it means that ABC might be taking the show seriously and not trying to kill it before it starts, which is what I’ve been afraid they’ve been doing. I’m hoping the crazy break in production they’re doing (four episodes up front, the remaining nine in March of next year) is not because they’ve got cold feet, but instead because they are trying to set it up for May sweeps.
